General Description of the Philips DSR6000 for DIRECTV:
The first combination DirecTV and TiVo unit ever, this unit was released to huge anticipation in the DirecTV and TiVo world. This was also the first TiVo DVR with buttons on the front of the unit - likely a condition of the contract between TiVo and DirecTV. This unit originally could only record one channel at a time even though it contained two tuners, but with a software update, this unit can now record two streams from a DirecTV satellite dish at once. Philips followed up on this unit with several more DirecTV TiVos.
Remote Info for the Series1 Black TiVo Peanut Remote:
This is the original DirecTV/TiVo remote. This remote will be compatible with all other TiVos that use Peanut-shaped remotes, but it has fewer buttons than any other model of the TiVo peanut family. This has a DirecTV logo on the bottom.
